MICHAEL FRITH – Why Do We Care About What Celebrities Think? - Michael Frith is a satire writer. He majored in theatre arts at Cal State University, Northridge. When he was 19, he lived in his car for a year—he says that experience taught him a lot about life. Frith originally wanted to become a film director but started hating the business. He found another area of the industry that he enjoyed and wound up working for Disney. He says the negotiation skills he learned while working for Disney could make Donald Trump look like a schoolgirl! So despite his rocky start in the ‘real world,’ Frith went on to work for three of the largest entertainment companies in the United States. As a satirist, he speaks for the silent majority that shares his opinions, yet is hesitant to say what they really think for fear of being politically incorrect. Frith doesn’t just write about celebrities. Everything’s fair game-- from environmentalists and politicians to doctors and HMO’s to the aggravations we encounter in the grocery store and at work. Frith lived in California when he met his future wife who happened to live in Florida. Who won the tug of war in that long distance relationship? Let’s just say the happy couple currently calls the South home. – http://www.noslak.com/
